We represent years of experience in the running of low-cost quality schools, educational innovation, teacher training and capacity development. In addition, we have secured a working partnership with ABESA, a body inside the Anglican church seeking solutions for underserved communities and their quest for quality education.

As a School Operating Partner, Thuto Themba provides:
oversight in collaboration with School Communities.
to be implemented together with school leadership in the portfolio of schools.
establish collaborative leadership and governance within Government schools in low-income communities.
to provide quality affordable education.
Thuto Themba will build and use the most appropriate academic school models for primary schools (combining online/in-school or more traditional) to achieve financial sustainability.
Achieve a cost-saving model that separates non-academic and academic management, with resultant cost efficiencies. We are able to lower costs by using land and buildings belonging to the Anglican Church.
With a strong emphasis on the “soul of education” focusing on values, entrepreneurial thinking, global competencies and psychosocial support for learners and teachers.

Established in 2004, Thuto Trust is an innovative education trust and registered Public Benefit and Non-Profit Organisation (PBO & NPO). We invest in deserving young people through tertiary education bursaries. With the help of donors and partners, we have invested in excess of R 50 million in over 1200 bursaries and scholarships over the past 19 years.
