to provide teacher internship opportunities to young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, with a passion for teaching. Thuto Trust provides full bursaries to each participating teacher intern, and these are funded through Thuto Trust’s own resources, as well as through co-funding agreements with various corporate organisations.

The Private School Internship Programme provides internship opportunities at primary and high school level, for students registered for part-time or distance learning studies in the B.Ed. degree or PGCE. Internships in private schools contribute to transformation and diversity. Additionally, it provides valuable teaching experience and exposure for our interns.
